VP RACING FUELS UNLEASHES “MAD SCIENTIST®” MONSTER JAM® TRUCK

ELLENTON , Fla. (December 18, 2015) – Feld Entertainment ® announced today that a brand new Monster Jam ® truck, the VP Racing Fuels’ Mad Scientist ®,  will compete on the 2016 Monster Jam tour and debut on January 8 in Charlotte, NC.  The truck’s design was inspired by VP Racing Fuels’ founder, Steve Burns, the self-taught genius behind all the company’s leading edge formulas.  Over VP’s successful 40-year history, Burns acquired the “Mad Scientist” nickname and a reputation as a virtual maniac in his passion for performance and winning.

The VP Fuels’ Mad Scientist truck will be piloted by veteran, Lee O’Donnell. O’Donnell has been participating in Monster Jam events since 1999 and has competed at the prestigious Monster Jam World Finals ® many times. Look out for O’Donnell to put the VP Racing Fuels’ Mad Scientist truck in the winner’s circle throughout 2016.

“With the Mad Scientist Monster Jam truck tearing it up at Monster Jam, it will lift awareness of our brand’s icon to a whole new level,” said Alan Cerwick, President of VP Racing Fuels.  “There’s no better platform to promote the VP brand and our new product lines, and we anticipate the Mad Scientist will connect in a strong way, particularly with the youthful members of the Monster Jam audience.”

In recent years, VP has expanded its product lines beyond its core race fuel business to include VP Madditives ® for gas and diesel engines, VP Small Engine Fuels for outdoor power equipment, VP Racing Oils, VP PowerWash™ and more.  VP also has begun branding gas stations and convenience stores across the U.S., each of which provides distribution for its new product lines.

The Mad Scientist has become a key component of VP’s marketing platform, symbolizing VP’s propensity for leading edge technology, “makin’ power™” and having fun.  With that said, the Mad Scientist icon is now integrated into the packaging of every VP product and in the signage at VP-branded gas stations.

“We are thrilled to have VP Racing Fuels strengthen its position in Monster Jam with the addition of the Mad Scientist Monster Jam truck, said Ken Hudgens, Chief Operating Officer, Feld Motor Sports ® . “We look forward to sharing on-track and off-track success with them.” About VP Racing Fuels

VP RACING FUELS PARTNERS WITH STAYWET® TO PROMOTE TRACK CONDITIONER

Eco-Friendly Formula Improves Dirt Track Performance, Suppresses Dust, Reduces Cost

SAN ANTONIO, TX (December 10, 2015) VP Racing Fuels today announced an agreement with Dane Miller, developer of StayWet®, to produce, market and distribute a revolutionary track conditioning product with the potential to transform dirt track racing. As part of the agreement, Miller will license use of the product name and formula to VP and will be employed by VP for two years to help introduce and promote the product as well as train VP personnel.

According to Miller, the mission of StayWet® track conditioner is “all about the show and improving the experience of drivers and spectators alike.” The mission is accomplished through improved soil compaction, soil adhesion and reduced dust. By improving cohesion of the soil molecules to keep them more compactly grouped and resistant to shearing, StayWet prevents holes and ruts from forming on the track. StayWet’s enhanced adhesion serves to make the track surface sticky so tires can grip the racing surface better. The net effect is a quantum improvement in track performance.

“With better traction and less slippage, drivers can increase their speed through turns, dive deeper into corners and not be restricted to following a single groove,” said Miller. “As an example, after applying StayWet, Millard County Raceway in Delta, Utah was transformed from a single-groove to a multi-groove track offering more exciting race programs while improving its track record by nearly a full second! Similarly, Cherokee Speedway used StayWet to set 13 new track records this year, in each division that ran there.”

Beyond better quality racing, the biggest value of StayWet is the suppression of dust. “Any dirt track fan knows how unpleasant high dust levels can make the experience for spectators. It can be especially detrimental to those with respiratory problems and it compromises drivers’ visibility and health as well,” Miller continued. “StayWet will substantially reduce the dust level at any track that properly applies it, and in many cases will eliminate dust altogether. A good example is Modoc Speedway in Clarks Hill, South Carolina which was able to reduce its dust by 50%.”

According to James “Bigg Redd” Griffin, owner of Screven Motorsports Complex in Sylvania, GA, there are operational savings to be gained by using StayWet. “We’ve seen substantial reductions in water consumption, fuel, labor and equipment maintenance.”

“Throughout its history, VP has been known for world-leading technology and best-in-class products, including our Lane Choice traction compound for asphalt tracks,” said Alan Cerwick, President of VP Racing Fuels. “When we saw the technology behind StayWet and the benefit it offers to the racing community, it became quickly apparent it’s a perfect fit with VP’s product portfolio. The fact that it’s a ‘green’ product — nonhazardous and biodegradable – made it all the more appealing. We look forward to working with Dane to promote StayWet, build the customer base and improve the experience of dirt track race fans and drivers across the U.S.”

VP also intends to promote a second soil treatment product formulated for road construction, cement plant and landfill applications. While keeping dust controlled, this version also keeps ground packed for a longer duration for heavy equipment mobility.

NEW IMAGE PAYS OFF BIG FOR KNOXVILLE STATION OWNER

Gasoline Volume Increases Six-Fold, Inside Sales Double with VP Racing Fuels Branding Program

SAN ANTONIO, TX (December 1, 2015) When David Norrell of D&D Energy introduced Sean Patel to VP Racing Fuels’ branding program, Patel not only was unfamiliar with VP but with racing in general. Impressed with the program Norrell outlined, Patel reimaged his Knoxville, TN station with VP in May 2015 and has no regrets. “I recognized the risk of adopting VP’s relatively new program, but sales have exploded and I couldn’t be happier with the results.”

While Patel understood that VP’s race fuels represented a potential revenue stream, he was unprepared for the reaction his new image received. “As soon as the VP logo sign went up on the canopy, people started stopping to ask ‘is this for real…are you going to have race fuel here?’ People came in daily to ask about VP products or Instagram photos to friends in Knoxville to tell them VP’s come to town.”

“I’d say 80% of the people coming down this street are race fans and I’ve discovered there are dirt oval tracks, dragstrips, motocross tracks, ATV off-roading…even an air field with R/C airplanes, and VP has a specialty fuel for every one of them.”

This prompted Patel to install two “VP Fuel Cubes™” each of which stores 18 5-gallon pails of race fuel. “We stock a wide variety of VP’s fuel blends to satisfy all the different types of racers in our market area. Demand has been better than I ever expected – in fact, we’ll be ordering a third Fuel Cube soon.”

Patel also has seen increased street gas sales and inside sales. “Since completing the reimaging, our fuel volume has grown 500%, with each gallon selling at higher margins. Before reimaging, our inside sales averaged $800 per day, but that’s grown to $1400-1500 per day, with some days as high as $2000!”

Patel attributes his growth to an overall increase in customer traffic due to the VP brand’s appeal, as well as sales of race fuels and other VP-branded products like VP Madditives® for gas and diesel engines, VP Small Engine Fuels for outdoor power equipment and a healthy volume of VP apparel. “I think any station owner should ask himself how many people want a t-shirt with an oil company logo on it? I believe the answer is obvious.”

“We give away VP stickers and calendars – they’re really popular. We hung a VP logo banner outside when we opened and people actually asked if they could buy it.”

“VP’s branding program is making our station a destination. You can see it on Facebook, where we (VNK Market)
had 30 followers before reimaging, but now we’re over 400, even though this area is very slow in terms of social media.”

According to Patel, the VP/D&D team has been more supportive than any energy company he’s ever dealt with. “We’re currently looking at building a new ground-up station, and I’ll definitely brand it with VP Racing Fuels. VP’s program offers more potential to grow my business than I’ve ever experienced before.”
