SAN ANTONIO, Texas (September 30, 2026) – VP Racing today announced a significant investment in renewable energy infrastructure with the deployment of approximately 1.5 megawatts (MW) of solar generating capacity across four facilities in Texas and Tennessee. The initiative represents one of the largest renewable energy investments in VP Racing's history and supports the company's continued focus on operational excellence, energy resiliency, and long-term growth.
Scheduled for completion over the coming months, the solar installations will help offset electricity consumption across VP Racing's manufacturing, blending, packaging, and distribution operations while strengthening the company's energy independence and reducing the environmental footprint associated with its products.
The solar expansion includes:
· 150 kW at VP Racing's Corporate Headquarters in San Antonio, Texas
· 205 kW at the company's Elmendorf, Texas facility
· 240 kW at the Huntingdon, Tennessee facility
· 910 kW at a manufacturing facility in McKenzie, Tennessee operated by an affiliated company
Together, the projects will deliver approximately 1,500 kW (1.5 MW) of renewable power generation across VP Racing's operating footprint.
The largest installation, a 910 kW solar array at the McKenzie, Tennessee facility, will substantially offset the site's electricity requirements and serve as the cornerstone of VP Racing's renewable energy initiative. In Texas, the company's Elmendorf facility will feature a solar-covered parking structure, combining renewable energy production with modernized infrastructure and enhanced employee amenities.
"At VP Racing, we evaluate investments based on their ability to strengthen our business and create long-term value," said Alan Cerwick, President and CEO of VP Racing. "As power costs continue to rise and the economics of solar generation continue to improve, this project represents a practical investment in our manufacturing network. It helps us better manage energy costs, improve operational resilience, and positions our facilities to remain competitive well into the future."
The 1.5 MW solar deployment represents the first phase of a broader effort to evaluate additional renewable energy opportunities, energy storage technologies, and efficiency improvements throughout VP Racing's manufacturing and distribution network.
