VP Racing Fuels Appoints European Drag Racing Track Specialist Mikael Angelin as Brand Ambassador

San Antonio, Texas / Sweden – VP Racing Fuels has appointed Mikael Angelin as its European Brand Ambassador, reinforcing the company’s commitment to technical leadership, track performance, and consistency across the European drag racing landscape.

Angelin is widely respected throughout European drag racing for his hands-on expertise in track preparation, race direction, and event execution. With more than 20 years of experience, he has worked extensively at Malmö Raceway, Mantorp Park, and Kjula Dragway, and is frequently called upon by tracks across Europe to consult on surface preparation, traction consistency, and best-practice implementation.

“Track performance is where credibility is built,” said James McVey, International Sales Director at VP Racing Fuels. “Mikael is not just a racer or a representative. He is a trusted authority at the track level. Bringing him into the VP program strengthens our ability to support tracks technically and ensures VP products are applied correctly, consistently, and professionally.”

Angelin has used VP Racing fuels and track preparation products for nearly his entire career and has long been involved in technical demonstrations, staff training, and surface optimization. In his ambassador role, he will focus on supporting European drag strips with VP traction compounds, providing on-site demonstrations, training track personnel, assisting with new track conversions, and supporting VP’s presence at key European drag racing events.

In addition to his technical work, Angelin currently serves as Race Director for multiple events in Sweden and remains actively involved in competition through his family-run Pro Stock Motorcycle team. His sons, Nico and Elliott, play key roles in both his professional and racing efforts, making drag racing a true family commitment.

“This partnership feels natural,” said Angelin. “I’ve trusted VP products for years because they deliver results. Now I have the opportunity to work even closer with tracks and racers to help raise the overall standard of track preparation and consistency across Europe.”

The appointment reflects VP Racing Fuels’ broader strategy to grow its European footprint through technical expertise, education, and long-term partnerships that support both tracks and racers at the highest level.
