VP 50:1 Fuel Mix is a ready-to-pour, ethanol-free 2-cycle fuel blended at a precise 50:1 ratio with a full synthetic, JASO FD certified ester oil. No measuring, no mixing, no guessing. Just open the can and pour.
The oil is virtually smoke-free and substantially reduces carbon deposits compared to conventional 2-cycle oils. The 94 octane, ethanol-free base fuel is made from higher-grade base stocks with no unnecessary filler additives, which means cleaner combustion and longer equipment life. It stays stable for 2 years in the tank and 5 years sealed in the original container, so your chainsaw, trimmer, or leaf blower starts reliably whether it sat for a week or an entire off-season.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to add oil to VP 50:1 Fuel Mix? No. VP 50:1 Fuel Mix is already blended at the correct 50:1 fuel-to-oil ratio using a full synthetic JASO FD certified ester oil. Do not add additional oil. Adding more oil will richen the mixture and can cause fouled plugs, carbon buildup, and reduced performance.
What engines is VP 50:1 Fuel Mix compatible with? It passes the warranty requirements of all major 2-cycle engine manufacturers, including Stihl, Husqvarna, Echo, Makita, Maruyama, and Shindaiwa. It meets or exceeds JASO FD, ISO-L-EGD, and API TC standards. It is not compatible with 4-cycle engines.
Does VP 50:1 Fuel Mix replace a fuel stabilizer? Yes. Because it is ethanol-free and formulated with high-grade base stocks, it remains stable for 2 years in the tank and 5 years in the sealed container without any added stabilizer.
Can I use VP 50:1 Fuel Mix in a 4-cycle engine? No. VP 50:1 Fuel Mix contains 2-cycle oil and is not suitable for 4-cycle engines. For 4-cycle equipment, use VP 4-Cycle Fuel.
What sizes does VP 50:1 Fuel Mix come in? Available in 1 quart, 1 gallon, 2.5 gallon pail, 5 gallon pail, and 54 gallon drum.

Why Not Pump Gas?
Most people use pump gas in their expensive outdoor power equipment, assuming that if it's good enough for their car, it's good enough for their hedge trimmer, string trimmer, or chainsaw. Unfortunately, that's the WORST thing you could do unless you like the idea of spending money on repairs or replacing equipment.
The majority of pump gas contains ethanol, which absorbs water as it sits in the gas tank. Water promotes corrosion, which eats away those vital components in your expensive equipment. In addition, ethanol can also damage plastic and rubber fuel system components. Pump gas also degrades fast and forms gums faster, which causes equipment to operate less efficiently and, even worse, to fail.
There are many 50:1 gas mix brands on the market. Many people think that all canned fuel is the same. Nothing could be further from the truth. Are all beers the same? Are all cars the same? Of course not.
Keep your outdoor power equipment running like the day you bought it - try VP 50:1 Premixed Small Engine Fuel.
