Our fuel stabilizer bonds with gasoline to stop evaporation. It both stabilizes gas and prevents gum and varnish from forming. When you use a vehicle or equipment regularly, gasoline burns up before it evaporates and degrades. However, when gas sits unused in a tank, it breaks down and deteriorates. This process can take as little as 30 days. When this happens, gummy deposits form in the engine. That’s where a high-quality stabilizer helps.

Ethanol, which is found in most pump gas, is at the root of this problem. To begin with, ethanol absorbs water. Second, water promotes corrosion, and corrosion is never good for an engine. In addition, when ethanol absorbs just a small amount of water (as small as 3/4-ounce), a process known as phase separation occurs. That’s when the ethanol/water cocktail separates from the gasoline, and never the two shall meet.

Both ethanol-free and E10 (10% ethanol) fuel received a 0.7 grade for resisting corrosion. That’s right, less than 1.0. In addition, our stabilizer helps reduce engine heat and extends engine life by lubricating the ethanol in gasoline. This reduces parasitic friction. When you reduce friction, you reduce the amount of heat caused by friction. A camel might love extreme heat; engines, not so much.

Another thing to consider is how long it lasts. Our product stabilizes for up to three years.* By comparison, other major gas stabilizers only work for 12 to 24 months. It’s right there in their product description. Plus, a little goes a long way. One 8 oz. bottle treats up to 80 gallons of gasoline (one ounce per 10 gallons of gas). Research other brands. You’ll often find that an ounce of their additive treats five or six gallons of fuel, with some calling for two to three ounces to treat 10 gallons of gas.
