Octanium Unleaded
SKU29505
Octanium® Unleaded VP octane booster increases octane up to 7 numbers (70 points), delivering increased horsepower, crisper throttle response, and quicker acceleration. Octanium Unleaded boosts performance, cleans fuel injectors, prevents gum and varnish build-up, and reduces power-robbing knocks and pings.
For easy pouring, try the VP EZ Spout. It's compatible with the Octanium Octane Booster can and works with all 1-1/8 beta openings.
For Gasoline Vehicles Only:
Directions:
- Pour 32 oz into 10 gallons = up to 7 #s of octane gain*
- Pour 32 oz into 20 gallons = up to 5.5 #s of octane gain*
- Don't get on paint. Light sensitive. Keep out of light. Do not freeze.
-
May discolor light colored plastic tanks and containers.
* If using Octanium Unleaded in vehicles with Emission Control Devices (ECD), dosage should be limited to 11 oz per 10 gallons of gasoline. Non-ECD vehicles can utilize up to 23 oz per 10 gallons of gasoline for long-term use or 32 oz per 10 gallons for short-term use but will require more frequent maintenance to prevent harmful damage or coating to engine parts.

How long does unleaded VP octane booster last in its original packaging?
An unopened can of VP Octanium Unleaded octane booster will last up to five years.
Is the unleaded VP Racing octane booster safe to use in a Two Stroke engine? Specifically a snowmobile engine? It’s a Polaris 850 Patriot. I only have access to 90 and 88 octane unleaded gas and the manufacturer recommends minimum 91 octane.
Both Octanium & Octanium Unleaded are safe for use in both 2-cycle & 4-cycle applications. The exact dosage will depend on whether or not your application has emission control devices (ECDs). If it does have ECDs, you'll want to use Octanium Unleaded. Please refer to the dosage treat chart above.
Will Octanium® Unleaded leave orange deposits on my spark plugs? Will I have to change my plugs sooner?
In a word, maybe. Octanium Unleaded may cause orange deposits on spark plugs as a result of its high concentration of MMT. As a result, we would recommend adding VP Fuel Cleaner with RP21, which is formulated to clean and restore engine components. In addition, you can also blend Octanium Unleaded with gasoline at specific ratios, which will add even more protection for emission control devices (see chart above).
Can I use VP Octanium® Unleaded octane booster with every fill-up?
If you refer to our recommended mixing chart, then you can use it with every fill-up (see chart above). However, the treat rate is different depending on whether your vehicle has emission control devices, which can be sensitive to prolonged use of products with a high concentration of MMT.
Is your unleaded VP fuel octane booster safe for long-term use? Will it harm my exhaust system and spark plugs?
All things considered, there is a safe blending ratio for both emission control devices and non-emission control device applications when using VP Octanium Unleaded octane booster in every tank. Please refer to the chart on this page.
