San Antonio, Texas, USA (July 22, 2024): VP Racing Fuels, Inc., regarded worldwide as the leader in performance fuels and automotive fluids, is launching its new C50+ Reg proprietary fuel at Loretta Lynn’s for the AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship. Developed for 50cc 2-stroke motorcycles, this advanced fuel, made with an ester-synthetic oil, will be showcased for the first time in the heated Motocross competition and is the official race fuel of Cobra Moto.

“VP Racing’s scientists have done it again, improving upon our race-proven C50 Reg with C50+ Reg,” said Bruce Hendel, Senior Vice President – Global Sales for VP Racing. “This new fuel, with its advanced technology, delivers up to 4% more power over our original C50 Reg, with the additional benefits of better performance in high humidity, virtually eliminating the milky residue seen with other lubricants. With C50+ Reg, reeds stay clean in high humidity, delivering maximum power. Our development and testing process included working closely with Rob Minton of Minton Cycle and Steve Street of Money Inc. Motorsports.”

VP Racing’s proprietary C50+ Reg has several advantages for 50cc 2-stroke riders –

  • More power across the power band, up to 4% increase over C50 Reg
  • Improved throttle response
  • Same jetting as C50 Reg
  • New advanced synthetic/ester-based lubricant formula
  • Advanced high-humidity operation
  • Designed specifically for water-cooled engines

“We have been testing the new C50+ Reg, and not only is it putting out more power, but it’s holding up in the most humid conditions, said Rob Minton, founder of Minton Cycle. “The problems with the affected batches are resolved and the product has been improved along the way!”

Others on the motocross circuit are just as impressed with the performance of VP Racing’s C50+ Reg.

“Working with VP and Minton Cycle testing the new C50+ Reg, we noticed power increases on the bottom as well as the mid and top end,” said John Tincher of JKT Racing and father of rider Jarrett Tincher. “Tank after tank, hour after hour, each teardown of the motor showed no evidence of build-up or residue.”

“We’ve tested the new batch of VP C50 in several different states and under different conditions, and it burns cool and clean with no deposits. The new blend is top-quality,” said Steve Street of Money Inc. Motorsports. “We’ve also had two riders testing the new C50+ with great results. Riders are noticing more power and a harder hit.”

VP’s C50+ will be available for purchase at Loretta Lynn’s beginning Saturday, July 27th, from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day. The AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship at Loretta Lynn’s runs from Monday, July 29th, through Saturday, August 3rd.
