El aditivo refrigerante VP Cool Down™ está diseñado para motores de gasolina y diésel, y funciona con sistemas de refrigerante o solo de agua. Su fórmula avanzada reduce la tensión superficial del refrigerante para una transferencia de calor superior y disminuye las temperaturas del motor hasta en 30 °F (16.7 °C). Las temperaturas de la culata pueden bajar hasta 75 °F (23.9 °C), lo que ayuda a prevenir el sobrecalentamiento. - COOL THE ENGINE: Make sure the engine is cool before removing the radiator cap
- ADD COOL DOWN: Pour Cool Down into the radiator per the application directions listed below.
- START THE ENGINE: Turn on the engine and set the heater to high.
- RUN FOR 10 MINUTES: Let the engine run for 10 minutes to circulate Cool Down.
- REMINDER: Keep at least 15% antifreeze in the cooling system for street-driven vehicles with A/C.

APPLICATIONS & RATIOS:
- Coolant Applications (12-20 quarts): One pint bottle treats 12-20 quarts. For coolant systems over 20 quarts, add one ounce of Cool Down for each additional quart.
- Straight Water Applications: For full corrosion protection, add 50% more Cool Down. Use reverse osmosis water labeled "Purified Drinking Water" for optimal results.
- Diesel Applications: For full protection of wet sleeve cylinder liners, add twice the amount.
- Powersport Applications: Use 2 oz per quart of coolant.
- Frequency: Add one pint every year or every 30,000 miles. After the 5th consecutive year, drain, flush, and refill the cooling system.
Can you mix this additive with antifreeze?
Yes, you can. Cool Down works great with antifreeze. It is formulated for use with today’s OAT and HOAT-formula engine coolants. We recommend changing your coolant every 2 years.
How do I use Cool Down™?
Just open the bottle and add the contents straight into the radiator or coolant reservoir. If you have access to a radiator cap, pouring Cool Down directly into the radiator is the preferred method. One 16 oz. bottle will treat cooling systems of 12-20 quarts.
Will your coolant additive work in cold weather climates?
If used as directed, it shouldn’t disrupt the freeze protection provided by traditional antifreeze that contains glycol.
