Stay Frosty Coolant is proven to reduce engine temperatures. VP engineers both glycol-free Race-Ready and Hi-Performance formulas. Each engine coolant includes a specialized blend of heat transfer agents that keep engines running cooler and increase horsepower and torque.

Race-Ready is 100% water-based and biodegradable. It offers no freeze protection and maximum cooling. Moreover, it lowers engine temps by as much as 30° F. We blend it with chemically stable reverse osmosis water. Furthermore, it affords full corrosion protection. The wetting agent in Stay Frosty Race-Ready reduces the surface tension of the coolant. As a result, it makes better contact with the liquid-to-metal interfaces inside the engine cylinder head.  Because it is water-based, it has almost twice the specific heat capacity (the ability to absorb heat) of glycol.

Stay Frosty Hi-Performance formula is for high-performance engine drivers who don’t necessarily need all the benefits of a water-based coolant and prefer better freeze protection. We formulate Hi-Performance with a 30 percent mix of propylene glycol to 70 percent water. Propylene glycol is non-toxic, unlike ethylene glycol used in many other coolants. The 70/30 mix also reduces viscosity. The lower the viscosity in an engine coolant, the better it flows through the radiator tubes. Finally, Hi-Performance allows for a more efficient transfer of heat. In fact, you may be able to run a lower-octane fuel and save money.
