SAN ANTONIO, TX (August 30, 2016) Jonnie Lindberg Motorsports today announced a new alliance with VP Racing Fuels for the 2016 racing season. Jonnie Lindberg, reigning NHRA Top Alcohol Funny Car champion, will rely exclusively on VP’s M1 Methanol in his attempt to secure a second championship this year.

Based in Upplands Vasby, Sweden, Jonnie Lindberg started his drag racing career as a tuner for his brother in European Pro Mod before graduating to drive FIA Top Alcohol Funny Car in 2012. He won the TA/FC European Championship in 2013, the TA/FC NHRA Championship in 2015 and holds the ET World Record of 5.361 seconds. Now Lindberg spends more time in the USA and operates a shop in Brownsburg, Indiana.
